Getting Started
Who are we?
We are a premier Medical Model Adult Day Care center dedicated to supporting seniors and their families and caregivers in our local community since 2008. We often refer to ourselves as a best kept secret in senior care.
What are your hours and location?
We are open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. We are located at 13425 19 Mile Road, Suite 500, Sterling Heights, MI 48313.
Do you offer a tour and trial?

Who We Care For
Do you accept seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia?
Yes. Our staff receives ongoing memory care training, and our center is a secured facility to ensure participants' safety.
Do you accept seniors with Parkinson's and stroke history?
Yes. Our caregivers are trained to provide safe assistance with transfers and mobility.
Can seniors without memory issues join your program?
Absolutely. Our program accommodates diverse needs to keep all participants mentally and physically active.
Services and Pricing
What services do you offer?
We offer Adult Day Care services for seniors who cannot be left home alone or are just looking for something fun to do during the day. We also offer transportation and shower services.
What ancillary services do you offer?
We offer on-site physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, podiatry, salon and lab services for your convenience.
How much does it cost?
Our rates start at $118/day with an 8 days a month minimum. An entire day at SarahCare is roughly the cost of 4 hours of home care services.
What services are included in the daily cost?
Our daily flat rate includes all day care, nursing services, two meals and a snack, and of course, all fun activities.
Do you accept health insurance?
We do participate with local Medicaid providers, including Ageways (formerly Area Agency on Aging Macomb), Molina, United Healthcare, Meridian, Easterseals/MORC and Aetna.
Do you participate in the VA program?
We are a proud vendor for the VA, which covers the cost of the Day Care program as well as transportation.
Is there a minimum number of days requirement?
We do require a minimum of 8 days a month. You can utilize those days as you see fit.
Medical Care and Activities
What kind of medical care do you offer?
Since we are a medical model, we have RNs or LPNs on staff to care for your loved ones. We consistently stay in touch with families and physicians to ensure your loved one's safety and your peace of mind.
What types of activities do you offer?
Our daily activities include music therapy, pet therapy, board games, puzzles, bingo, movies and social events. We also offer outings such as lunch outings, picnics and golf outings.
What does a typical day at SarahCare look like?
We kick off the day fueling our bodies with a healthy breakfast and exercising our brains with current events. Before lunch, we get moving with chair exercises. Afternoons are for keeping our minds sharp with two brain-boosting activities and a well-deserved snack. We wrap up the day with plenty of laughs during activities such as Finish the Phrase and a Sing Along, where being off-key is highly encouraged.

What can I expect after your loved one starts?
We work with families to ensure your loved one gets the best care possible. You will be provided with an activity calendar and periodic updates about their day. We also believe in the caregiver break you deserve, so you can be a daughter, son or spouse again.
