STROKE PROGRAM

For our participants who are post-stroke, SarahCare has a program specifically designed to get them back on the road to recovery. Our experienced professional staff of Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses, activity professionals, and personal care assistants provide programs and services including:

RESTORATIVE NURSING is a program designed by our RNs as a follow-up or adjunct to physical, occupational, or + READ MORE
speech therapy. The program can benefit those who require assistance with ambulation, toileting, dining, and dressing and grooming. Restorative nursing is not a Rehabilitative Therapy Program and does not require a physician’s order.

INDIVIDUAL PLANS OF CARE are also designed by our RNs, along with the family’s and physician’s participation. An + READ MORE
interdisciplinary team meets quarterly to assess progress and revise the care plan to meet the cognitive, physical, and emotional needs of the participant.

PERSONAL CARE assistance may be required following a stroke. SarahCare’s professional staff can aid with + READ MORE
bathing, eating, and toileting, as well as provide tube feedings and medication administration.

SarahCare’s VERSITILE ACTIVITIES PROGRAM is designed specifically for issues that can occur following a + READ MORE
stroke. Programs include exercise, music, art, and pet therapy, along with cognitive enhancement activities like our BrainStretchprogram.

PARKINSON’S PROGRAM

VERSATILE ACTIVITY Programs

related movement disorder issues. Programs include exercise, special sensory programs such as aromatherapy, music, art, pet therapy, and cognitive enhancement activities. These activity programs are adapted to individual needs and preferences of our participants.

interdisciplinary team meets quarterly to assess progress and revise the care plan to meet the cognitive, physical, and emotional needs of the participant. This regular assessment process may result in creative approaches that are especially beneficial for those experiencing ambulatory issues or decline in cognition.
