Staff Bios
Dr. Levine Perinatologist and Director of the Methodist Hospital Perinatal Center saw a need for an Adult Day Care that had an emphasis on “family.” Allowing caregivers to keep their loved ones at home while SarahCare provided quality respite care in a safe, secure, homelike environment during the day.*He knows how to entertain our participants when he is here, he truly enjoys SarahCare.*

Carly Snider, Executive Director, LPN
Carly loves working at SarahCare with the wonderful staff and participants. “working at SarahCare is very rewarding and it allows me to provide the quality of care our participants deserve. It has given me the opportunity to get to know the participants, their families, and share special moments on a daily basis.” Carly has worked in the health care field for 11 years providing care to adults and seniors. She obtained her LPN in 2006 and has been with SarahCare since 2007. Carly became the Executive Director 2009. She brings a positive, friendly, caring, and knowledgeable aspect to SarahCare.

Roxane Layberger-Hartle, Activity Director
Roxane is the Activity Director at SarahCare Omaha and a licensed Certified Medication Aid. Roxane has been with SarahCare since 2006. Roxane has worked with the elderly and person’s with Alzheimer’s and Dementia for years. She has a fun and creative outlook to design an entertaining, stimulating, and adaptable activity program for all of the participant’s at SarahCare.
Wanda Walker, Nursing/Activity Assistant
Wanda says “SarahCare is a very warm environment and a fun place to work.” She feels the staff is “very loving and caring toward the participants and that they have a lot of fun together doing activities and socializing; making SarahCare a great place to be.” Wanda is a Certified Medication Aid that has worked with the elderly population for years. Wanda provides quality care with a fun outlook on life. There is not a participant that Wanda cannot make smile or laugh each day, she brings a positive, caring, and fun personality to SarahCare. She has been with SarahCare since 2007.
Shawnecka Poole, Nursing & Activity Assistant
Shawnecka joined us in June 2010 as a volunteer and officially became part of the SarahCare team in August. She is a new CNA and her ability to work with seniors has came naturally. It is apparent that she truly enjoys her job when she interacts with our participants in a caring and supportive manner.
Shannon Gulley, LPN and Activity Assistant
Shannon recently joined us at SarahCare. He brings enthusiasm, knowledge, and quality care to our center and participants. He has experience in many areas such as with brain injuries, special needs, Dementia, and corrections. He brings a new light to SarahCare and we welcome him.
Starla Stecki, CNA and Activity Assistant
Starla joined us as an experienced CNA. She brings enthusiasm and kindness to our center daily. Starla has a kind and gentle approach to our participants that assists in helping them with cares and activities. She continues to build on her strenghts daily and bring joy to our participants.
Staff Qualifications
Our SarahCare® Center prides itself on the experience and qualifications of its staff. Our staff includes:
- Registered and Licensed Practical Nurses: to administer prescribed medications, provide educational programs, manage day-to-day health needs, and attend to emergencies. Including a bilingual nurse that speaks Spanish.
- Activities Professionals: to conduct personalized activity programs.
- Personal Care Assistants: to assist with personal care, including bathing.
- Dietary Consultants: to assist with meal plans and special diets.
- Professional Contractors: to provide podiatry services; physical, occupational and speech therapy services.
