Special programs at our center:
Saturdays at SarahCare -
Saturdays at SarahCare is unique to the Pittsburgh area. The Center opened on Saturdays in 2008 in response to a need in the community and we are the only adult day care in Allegheny County open on Saturday. The Saturday program mirrors our typical weekday program in that activities are central to the day. The activities program is the heart of the Center and Saturday is no exception. Staff plans activities to meet the social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and creative needs of all participants. A wide range of small and large groups is offered, as well as individual activities for our more independent participants.

Funding
SarahCare of Forest Hills accepts private pay, long-term care insurance, Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging Options funding, PA Department of Aging Waiver funding, and Office of Developmental Programming MR funding.

Transportation
Approximately 60% of our participants are transported to and from the Center via the ACCESS transportation system. Once a participant is registered with ACCESS, drivers will escort the participant into and out of the Center, and then directly to his or her door. Wheelchairs and walkers are accepted.
