Support Group
SarahCare is pleased to announce our FREE support groups that is held right here in our center.
The Alzheimer’s Margate Family Center sponsors an
Alzheimer’s Support Group
on the first Thursday of every month.
10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Admission is FREE.
All are welcome.
Beauty Salon/Barbershop
Hair care and manicure services for men and women are available in our center by Lori Nocerrino. Lori has over 15 years experience in beauty services for seniors. She is available to our participants and their families. Lori has special low prices for our participants. (SarahCare receives no fees or rent) for our participants. Lori does waxing as well as the following services:
Prices: Men’s Haircuts — $9.00
Men’s/Ladies Manicure — $6.00
Ladies Wash & Cut — $13.00
Ladies Perm — $21.00
Ladies Color — $11.00
Pedicure — $11.00
Bathing Services
Many of our participants are already enjoying the benefits of our bathing services. We provide this service for an additional fee of only $15.00 per occurrence. If you would like to arrange for these services, please let our staff know.

Transportation
SarahCare© Adult Day Centers strive to make your life easier by providing you with options for transportation. We use and recommend two forms of transportation to get your loved one to and from our center.
The services we use have vans that are equipped to handle wheelchairs and walkers as well as ambulatory participants.
Scheduling is comprised of personal choice, availability and location.

Intergenerational Programs
SarahCare® Centers Intergenerational Programs are designed to bring together two very different generations… ELDERS and CHILDREN… for the support and resources they can offer one another. As a result, the two learn from each other…sharing their feelings, ideas, skills, and affection. The primary goal of SarahCare® Centers Intergenerational Programs is to provide means by which interaction between elders and children is encouraged. The frontier for these means are without measure, as we involve children from infancy to high school age students, with different group of elders-disabled and frail elders, and even early and mid-stage alzhiemers and clients. The following are some of our intergenerational Programs: Weekly activities including an exercise group, a sing-a-long session, crafts and games. Senior students from local high schools come on weekdays to visit elders. Their activities also include letter writing, decorating and helping with planned activities. Participants in our center visit with the children from the JCC Preschool next door for tons of fun and games.
Therapy Services
Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy & Occupational Therapy:
Every week we include group physical therapy and group speech therapy sessions for all to enjoy and participate in. There is NO additional charge for these sessions. If any of our participants would like to receive individual physical therapy, speech therapy or occupational therapy at our Center, please let Jan know. We have quality providers for all of these services. If you have a physician’s order, your physician can bill Medicare directly. Most importantly, they provide these services on the SarahCare premises during one of the participant’s regular attendance days. If you have your own therapist, they are welcome to use our Center at no charge. For your convenience, they may be willing to schedule the appointment during a regular attendance day.
