Fit and Fall Program

The Fit and Fall Program is a program geared towards preventing falls in older adults.  It promotes muscle movement and balance, posture awareness, flexibility, strength and endurance.  The goal is to reduce the risk of falls, help maintain static and dynamic balance, take the fear out of falling and build confidence.

Pet Therapy

Pet therapy is a popular method of mild therapy for seniors.  At SarahCare of Boise, our participants are able to interact with specially trained animals physically, mentally and emotionally to receive the best possible results.  Participants get the loving attention from the animals without the necessary care requirements the animals need.

Music Therapy

Music Therapy is a great benefit to seniors to increase or maintain their level of physical, mental, social and emotional function. The stimulation of music is very helpful in maintaining a quality of life for our participants.

Funding

As you look at having SarahCare begin providing services to your family, you may have questions regarding assistance that may be available in your community.  There are a variety of sources for financial assistance ranging from the Area Agency on Aging, Medicaid, the Idaho Veteran’s Administration, and some Long Term Care Insurances.  These programs each have criteria requirements that must be met prior to funding being granted. SarahCare can assist you with any questions you have regarding funding.   For more information on the programs mentioned and other programs that may be available, please contact the Executive Director, Alishia Freeman, at 208-375-2273.
